Sarunas and Milda Landys have been folk dancing with San Diego "Jura" since the group was established. The couple grew up in Lithuanian communities in Detroit and Chicago, and met at a Lithuanian student camp in Dainava, Michigan. They are fully immersed in Lithuanian culture - they not only folk dance, but also have belonged to Lithuanian choirs, accompany on piano, study the Lithuanian language, and dabble in folk art such as weaving and egg decorating. Sarunas and Milda are a professional couple that live in Solana Beach and work as an aerospace engineer and pharmacy programmer, respectively. Their two grown children also participate in Lithuanian activities.
