I grew up in Poland, in the Triangle between Punskas, Seinai, and Suvalkai. I attended the primary Lithuanian school in Punskas, and later the only Lithuanian March 11th Lyceum in Poland. After becoming fluent in my ancestor’s language, traditions, and culture I decided to travel a bit and look around. That’s how I ended up in San Diego. It is very nice to be able to speak my own language and to dance Lithuanian folk dances so far away from home! "Jūra" dancers are unsurpassable!
