For us, Lithuanian folk dance is more than performance — it is heritage, memory, and identity.

In 2026, Jūra Dance Group will travel to Chicago to join Lithuanian dancers from around the world at the Lithuanian Folk Dance Festival or Šokių Šventė, a beloved tradition since 1957. To participate, each dancer must purchase an authentic Lithuanian costume, costing $884 per dancer, along with travel and lodging expenses.

With nine dancers representing our Southern California Lithuanian community, your support makes a meaningful difference. Donations help us preserve tradition, honor our roots, and share Lithuanian culture with pride.
